TV Antennas (again)

A while back there was a thread in which a particularly good, window/wall mounting, TV antenna was mentioned. Does anyone remember that thread or the antenna.

"Winegard TV Antenna" thread started on 4-9-15.

I've got a hobby of TV DX (trying to receive distant TV Stations) everywhere I go. My best results with an indoor antenna inside an FGRV, were with decent quality standalone rabbit ears ($5-$10). One can spend a lot more than that and, while the antenna might be more compact and/or prettier, in no case could I find better performance. I use Velcro on the rabbit ears bottom mount and put a few Velcro squares around the inside of the camper, then mount the antenna at the best spot for the location we are at. Finding a pair of rabbit ears with at least a 2' cable (4' would be great) helps when having choices of a mounting spot inside the camper.

Outside antennas are a different story.

We have the Winegard Rayzor. I'll hang it outside on the trailer instead of using it inside. It can be somewhat directional where reception is not so good so you may have to reposition it some. It may also be available with a booster. I did a test comparison between it and the Winegard telescoping antenna, and the Rayzor was better. With either of those antennas there were some channels that didn't come in clear enough to watch

I have the Mohu Leaf - if you get one get the one with the amp. Even without the amp if I am within 25 miles or so of a large city I can usually pick up a few channels. Closer to a major city the more channels I can pick up.

I like the Mohu Leaf as its small and will flex enough to just stick in the overhead bin at the back of the trailer up against the outside wall for storage without taking up any room.
