How about putting some interior pictures up so we can watch for posted ads?

These thefts might well be targeted to a specific client already, but they might have been stolen for resale.

I'm betting that if those puppies resurface, it'll be with new exterior paint, but a reseller would likely leave the interior alone...

Hope he puts the VIN's up, too...

I s'pose you and your son already know this, but in case not:

There's a website devoted to the sale of fiberglass trailers that would be worth contacting/watching.
Here's the link: Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

Mikmay,

Tell your son that I am very sorry. I met him at ISTE where I recognized his turquoise Boler and began talking to him about it and his iPad product. He has a passion for fiberglass beyond the fact that he rents them out.

What a shame!

Ok guys I am going to suggest that just in case the party that has these trailers is listening in that we dont talk here about any unique features we see on each of these trailers - just in case they decide to rip them out as a result of what they read here, making it hard to id these trailers should they come on the market.

But...

If we don't see/talk about what the trailers look like inside and out, how will we know what to look for when we're keeping our eyes peeled???

That is probably why that site is banned from my work. I still haven't seen them.

David these links to the photos may work better:

The Happier Camper - Uhaul CT 13

The Happier Camper - Scamp photos

It might help a little more if the owner was to post a few photos of his actual renovations as they were happening of these trailers in the event someone comes across one of them for sale and they may be able to spot something unique to the trailers in regards to frame changes, tongue set up, outside hook ups, bumpers, lights, etc...... just a thought.

Maybe it's banned from your work 'cause the boss doesn't want folks cruising the 'net when they're supposed to be working.
Hope he doesn't catch on that you're visiting this site, too!

He knows. My job is simply to be able to answer very technical questions when asked. Otherwise I have time. If you have any questions about industrial instrumentation, give me a call.

Around here I am known as Trillium Dave. It helps to be under payed as well.

The message I get when I click on the links, including Carol's latest is:
Block reason: Forbidden Category "Adult/Mature Content"

Those must be some real interesting trailers.

Nah-
word around my workplace is that since there's no blocking software that says
"Get back to work you loafer!" when one of us goes off task, the boss just uses that
" !!!ADULT CONTENT!!!" message instead.

I actually believe this because I always bookmark the sites and look at them at home...no luck in the naughtypictures department so far!

My stolen eggs

Hello egg lovers, This is Derek, Mikes son, i'm the owner of the stolen trailers. Its been a mess over here trying to figure out what to do and were to go next. I really appreciate all the efforts in helping me locate the little trailers. Below are some more photos and there are more on my website www.happiercamper.com

I spent alot of time, money and energy over the years completely restoring the little trailers, I camped in them 100s of times, and rented them to dozens of families and couples who made many great memories in there. They were defiantly used for good, and had a great run. That said its a huge loss to me and its been some sad days here. These were my favorites.

The lot they were on was secured with a large fence and big lock that was cut. Each trailer had its own hitch lock that would not be able to be cut with bolt cutters. No sign of the hitch locks there leaves me to believe the trailers were either put onto a truck or were hooked up alternatively with chains and pulled away, there were no cameras or alarms and i sadly had no extra insurance on the trailers when on the lot. I had no strange customers or phone calls prior to the theft and i have no idea who would do this, certainly not someone who knows about these little trailers as they are hard to hide.. My only hope is that they haven't went across the boarder, driving into Mexico is nothing... and once there i fear they would be gone.. Any and all help is appreciated.

thanks again for the suggestions so far,

my phone number is 310 806 1856 if anyone sees anything.

Derek,

Have you tried checking out ANY businesses in the area that might have had a surveillance camera on towards the street that night? Gas Station, mini mart, whatever...even red light cameras or something.

Surely in this day and age SOMEBODY's electronic eyes were open!

Who says only the police can go check any video cameras in the area. Go around yourself and ask to check camera tapes. I would think any decent businessman would want to help. After all any one of them could be next. Traffic cameras should be public domain.

Also go to the border and plaster the place with photos to be passed around to the border workers.
