Portawalls are still out there, just google it. They're used a lot by vintage car owners. Just read on another vintage trailer forum that portawalls only work on bias tires, though.

Portawalls: Go to fast and the centrifugal force throws them off. When I say go real fast I mean - really fast. Back in the day in Iowa the speed limit at night was 75 and in the day "Reasonable and Proper" I had a 409.
