I never worry about a rally location, the purpose is for like people to get together and have group fun. Most of our Koa experience has been at rallies. Though we really never choose to stay at a Koa, when we have stayed their at rallies we have had fun.

I Agree with Jim and can say the cost for is worth the bang you get.
We will have access to a covered pavilion and an indoor rec. hall.
On site store / free hot showers / laundry on site / propane on site and a staff that will go above and beyond for the camper.
This is a 10-10-10 campground and the sites are spacious (depending on the one you want to pay for Sewer, Elec and Water or as Lynn said just a tent site with just water & Elec. at a lower rate.
I've been in campgrounds where sites are more spacious and Ive been in, yes, even state or national campgrounds where it's like a parking lot.
This campground was laid out in the 1950's and the owner is a great nature lover so he has left trees between the sites.
Cost:
From the owner of the campground to me:

In the meantime I can give you some basic info. on rates etc. The best time
for us to entertain this program would be the second or third week of May;
or the second or third week of June. In May the Deluxe waterfront sites
would be: $49/site for 20 - 30 campers, and the off water prime sites would
be $39/site; or for 31 - 40 sites the rates would be Deluxe/$45/site, prime
$35/site; with more than 41 or more the rates would be $40 & $30. For June
dates add $5/nite to these rates. Our normal rates are almost double these
rates.

I do not think these prices are out of line;
Also other then holiday or theme weekends the children population is low expecialy not in the summer months.

Umm. . . no. June is black-fly season in Maine. I recommend late August or even September (gets cold, but fewer mosquitos).

Temps in May isn't too bad after the long winter of sub zero temps and as far as insects this campground, although they do not spray and is right on a pond has very few black flies and mosq.
The date has been set as you can see in the rally calender and under Spring Fling in New England

It has been brought to my attention that there a some FGRV members who do not own a fiberglass unit...Just want to let them know that the Rally set up for May 11 2017, At Chocorua NH, is open to them also.

Gerry, About your 1991 DWI....next time you are near the border of Canada you might try to cross. Bring your passport and give it a go...you might be surprised ! A few friends with DWIs in their past made the crossing without any problems.

My theory is the older the offense the greater the chance it will not show on the government computers....worth a try...the worst they can do is deny you entry!

Was told by my passport agent getting into Canada will be no problem but getting back out may be a problem.
Not a drink in over 25 year but I don't count year because a person who counts is only setting himself up for a day when he goes back to a bad habit, then he can say, "Well I did Quite for XXX"

I had a DWI several decades ago. I crossed into New Brunswick and returned several times in the last four years...no problem.
I had no idea that such a record could be a problem...discovered that fact but ignored it as I had made the crossing without a problem. Since then I have crossed into Quebec and New Brunswick several times...no problem.

Again I think the record disappears after enough time passes.

Trying to use Good Judgement, years ago tried to do the right thing and called the Canadian Counsulet and as stated previously, was told to send in $$$ for application and even with this I was told there was no guarantee the the application for a waver would be accepted.
Kinda got upset here and said "If Canada didn't want Good American dollars I would not visit anyway" and hung up;
This past year was going to take a trip to Nova Scotia and got Trip Tickets from my AAA and right in the laws of Canada pages was told if you had a DUI in America you have to call the Canadian Counsulet or got ont he computer to said site and low and behold it was the same message. Pay for an application with no guarentee.
Needles to say we just toured Maine for a few weeks.
A DUI in Canada is a Felony offense...
Those of you going there be careful just think if you got into a fender bender (not even your fault) and you had to show your license.....
