I am overdue for an update here! Its been 9 months since I left Tennessee to fulltime in my trailer at my new job out here in the Mojave desert. It is awesome and better than I could have expected!
While my "cover" is still being worked on, (cammo netting rigged over my trailer for shade, which will give me an extra room outside that sand bags will hold down the poles they are draped over,) I am staying perfectly cool inside.
The air conditioner is a window unit which is actually made for twice the space that I have. It is resting on cinder blocks, (thank you to another fgforum member who recommended to do so.) However, my a/c isn't a swamp cooler, just a regular a/c. Granted, I don't like it too cool and only set it to 80 but, when I come inside it feels cold. My cat Marco is doing well too in here and seems to enjoy watching the birds that come to the RV water sprigets to catch drips. He also watches the rabbits and other little critters.
So far I've been a neighbor to a herd of Burrows and coyotes.
It is very cool.
