Maybe because, with the SmartCar, you have to attach the trunk somehow? Your wagon comes standard with a place for the groceries.

Actually, in Europe, as pick-ups are seldom seen as a second or family car, small utility trailers are very common and a light weight aluminum one could go well with a SmartCar for that big shopping trip to the local IKEA, etc.

When I sold my Sonoma p/u, I bought a utility trailer to pull with the Blazer. It gets used it a lot....

So true, Bob!

I used to call my minivan (and now my SUV) with a 4x8x2 utility trailer attached my "crew cab pick-up." Best thing is, I don't care how much my crew bangs up the bed loading stuff. But you better wipe your muddy feet before I let you in the cab.
