It was shared with me by a reputable Paramedic instructor. It does appear that it is not available everywhere?

AAAs are fairly local. While my Central NY tells me my trailer coverage from them will be honored by AAA countrywide, some friends in the Southern Tier (about 70 miles away) can't even get trailer coverage from their AAA.

Mine gives out the sectional Woodall camping books for free, while when I was in MN, they charged 1/2 the cover price.

Tulsa area tow companies participate in this sort of thing on holidays, and they call it the Tipsy Tow program. I am glad they do this and would encourage its use by those who drink, but I feel sad for anyone who drinks that much. During my college years, I made the mistake of drinking 4 beers one evening, and I felt sick to my stomach. I told my father about it and he gave me good advice; he said that the only good reason to drink alcohol is for the flavor, and to enjoy the flavor a single drink (or at most, two drinks) should be plenty. Since then I have always followed that advice.

I like the York idea better myself. While a free tow can, no doubt, save lives, not getting so sloshed that one can't drive or doen't have a sober designated driver, is an even better idea.

Lost count long ago of how many DUI guests I checked into the CrossBar Hotel in Redwood City, CA (aka County jail) on holiday eves.
