Has anyone heard of all fibreglass Called VENTURE? It looks like a flattop Boler.It's for sale near me. Owner says they were made in Manitoba.Looks in good shape any idea of what it's worth.Thanks Bud

And where is it because I would like to buy it out from under you!!!

Seriously though, I wouldn't mind having a Ventura myself, though I would prefer a Playpac. If I were to ever find either.

That is the same as pics.This is in erie Ontario just across from Buffalo NY. The owner called it Venture but I'm not sure if he knows what he has.Check out KIJIJI ad #370032726. It is a 3-4 hr drive for me. I might just pack a lunch & go on a road trip.Thanks for your help Bud

For price ideas a good spot to look is in the sold section of Fiberglass RV 4 Sale

Looks like a 74 sold in Winnipeg last month for $2400 and a 76 sold in Sept for $2800 also in Winnipeg.

We have a Ventura - not for sale at the moment but it is nice to know that there will probably be wiling buyers when that day comes. None of our kids are interested in it - they are more into holiday resorts.

my 76 ventura is the red and white one above. They are a good trailer but do have their weak spots. Check for spider cracks or worse, cracks right though the upper parts around the windows. Also check under the fridge vent to see if there is water under the floor. More standard problems are the window seals and cranks(easily fixed ). Check the brakes and wiring, after all it is 35 years old.

That being said, mine was an $800 barn yard find that needed a fair bit of work. At $4500 it would have to be pretty darn good. For that amount I would be looking for a boler 17.

I got up close and personal with mine in the fall, gutted the whole interior and did a rebuild. Nice flat walls to work with. Did find some cracked roof supports , probably from snow load on the roof. Added some better support for the cupboards while I was in there.

This is our Ventura. We bought it from a couple living about 30 minutes drive away. They weren't using it anymore - too small, I think. Suits the two of us just fine.

The canopy works quite well - it has walls and screens too. The legs are long enough to allow it to go over the edge of the camper so the rain doesn't run down by the door - but then the walls don't reach the ground. We do what seems to be the best idea according to the weather.

We looked at a Boler, a Trillium, and a Ventura (all mid-1970s). The design and build quality of the Trillium appeared superior to the Boler. But the Ventura impressed us as the Trillium's equal in quality while trumping it with an overall homier and more comfortable interior. That's aside from the fact that it was better preserved than the Bolers and Trilliums we viewed.

A few months ago I spoke on the phone with the fellow that designed and built the Ventura. He said he set out to build a better Boler -and used boxier lines to increase interior space and storage.

I think that it's a 1976 and they called it a Venture.
