Sunday is Nov. 11, 2012 is Veteran's Day. Time to thank a Veteran.

Anne and I are opening the door for anybody that wants to drop by on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 to help us honor Veterans where ever they might be.
We'll doing this partly by operating a special even ham radio station with a special event call sign, W7V. Anybody that drops in will have the opportunity to get on the air.
If you're in the Salem, Oregon area drop by and say hello.
If you're not in the area and are a ham look for us on 20 meters from around 8:00 am until, well until everybody get tired or midnight which ever comes first.

byron----great idea. for us, it's called Remembrance Day but it's for the same reason....we owe so very much to our veterans, regardless of which side of the border they hail from.

wear a poppy. attend a ceremony at a cenotaph. clap loudly for the parade of veterans. thank them. and be grateful.

Interesting, not a ham radio operator myself, but I believe the previous owner of our Uhaul was. I removed a fiberglass antenna from it.
