Bummer, but if you couldn't get this 544 (Marijke's photo)

Maybe you could get one of these to pull the BIOD (Volvo factory literature pics.)

Beautiful combo! Agree… a pity to separate them!

Oh Bob that is my favorite Volvo! While living in Bavaria, we only had the 245 wagon, GM (4?) cylinder diesel. But the older ones were much more beautiful

The 210 panelvan is a 1967
We once owned and raced a number of Volvo's including 445's(2), 122's (3) a 123 rally car, P1800 (Volvo sponsored) and several ea. of the 140, 160 & 240 series.

Here are two others than may become favorites. I have driven both a 445 pick-up and a P-1900.

Was not aware Volvo made a pick-up! Thanks so much for posting, made my day :-)

The white princess (last picture) surely could pull the Extase and the 300. But the 210 panel wagon would be more practical. No idea if they are still around, one in good shape. Searched for my Extase for 5 years, found it just after we had the 3oo shipped.
Who still builds beautiful, practical cars? They all look the same. You are a lucky man have raced and owned such beautiful cars.

All of the 445's (Pick-up and Duett) had the B-16, 210's after 1962 were B-18's somewhat enemic for towing. But I did once tow a 1968 122 wagon with a 1965 122 Wagon almost 2000 miles without problems as to power and reliability. There was a 445 pick-up in San Diego a few years back for $10,000. ouch!

Ya just gotta know where to look. Here's both a 210 and a great 4wd Volvo staff car that would make great Tow Vehicles:

Heres a few more. I like the White Borgward Isabella with the Eriba Puck in tow. And there's one for the Glampers, but I don't know what trailer it's from.
Again, click on an image to enlarge.

Forgot to ask earlier, what's the "White Princess" ? The bottom two in my post #19 are Volvo P-1900's, all molded fiberglass bodies with B-14 & B-16 running gear on a tube frame.

The white P-1900 ;-) Bob. And the trailer behind the Audi (gorgeous car, no?) I think
is a Westfalia. Very durable trailers, very high quality. Or look up Bourgeois, made in Belgium. I think both were aluminum with fibreglass tops.
I will try to put your picture on the BIOD forum, those guys know old TT's.
Thanks for posting these, they're great!
PS did you live in Germany for a time?

I didn't live In Germany, but I worked for two different companies that had a factories in Hamburg, Frankfurt, (near) Luneburg and in Denmark, and I also did two VW KubleClub shows in Germany with my VW club's affiliate, Kuble Club of Deutschland.
I made about 20 trips across, most for 1-3 weeks at a time. and a couple of month long family trips. Even further back, Judy and I spent a month in Europe and a month in the old USSR, driving a Beetle and staying, mostly, in camp grounds.

Is this a quiz?

Top right is an early 1950s Opel Olympia with a similar age Dethleffs Tourist.
Bottom left is an Auto Union 1000 (also sold as a DKW) with a small 1950s Westfalia.
Bottom right could be anything Yurpeen from the 19080s.

What prize have I won?
