I stopped by today before the official start and saw some of the trailers. Freds Fiberstream looked great . There were some interesting teardrops .
Bill got pictures of the oldest (1947) and the newest (1978) trailers.

Approaching the old "Boot Camp" property on Harbor Drive, crossing the boat channel bridge west of Lindberg Field Airport. USS Recruit is on the left, and a new Courtyard by Mariott hotel is under construction on the right.

A little bit closer, and you see in the background between the Recruit and the Mariott is the Conference center building where this weekends events were held, with the trailers in front of the conference center.

It was an interesting area they had the trailers set up for the San Diego SOHO show .
You can see Fred's Fiberstream is near the dry dock.....also the pic of the "Streamliner" is a real classic.

Frederick, thanks very much! Wow... that Marriot looks JUST like the old WWII barracks I was in while I was on "worm island" there! I hadn't realized how well we were taken care of as recruits!

Thanks for the photos! Great memories...

Roger
