VIXEN 21
A few days ago we saw this one in the Red Feather Lakes area. I did not want to impose on the owners and ask for a tour, but just did a search and found this link:
Only 500 or so were made. A very interesting design.

There is a Vixen gathering at Quartzsite (La Posa West) during the Big Tent week. A nice group of people that are glad to show off their RVs. Some photos, including one interior from their 2016 visit: Vixens at Quartzsite.

Thanks, Jon, for the link to your pictures. Now the only two fiberglass body vehicles I know of are the Vixen and the Corvette. Both seem to have a very dedicated following.

I happened onto a vixen rally near our home a few years ago. I was aware of them but never had that much interested. Two years ago there was one at Bolerama in Ontario at Long Beach Conservation area. I spoke
With the owner, he said they were very underpowered and did not have a true Mercedes engine I believe. Nice looking though.

Always liked the idea of a small all in one. Thought a Rialta would be fun until I talked to an owner. Nice looking but I bet one of these is similar, a real money pit. Still, fun to look at.

Saw a Dodge Travco (molded FG body) in FL. Owner was happy to give us a tour. Fitted with a 318 engine, and later a 413 and 440, so certainly more power than a Vixen.

I camped next to a Travco one time at Yellow River State Forest in Iowa. They were in production at the time somit was a long time ago. The people weren’t too social so I didn’t get a look inside. A good friend of my brother restored one. He spent years on a meticulous restoration and according to my brother it was very nice. He changed out the engine for a 440.

This comes straight from one of the linked ads and does not represent a complete rebuild, just some mechanical work to the chassis and drivetrain. Says it all, I think.
"PRICE $22,000. I have had $16,000 work recently done on it."
Still, I am glad for people in the world who have the disposable resources (money and time) to keep these unusual vehicles going for others to enjoy!

That's my sentiment, too. Well said.
