This topic crops up about the same time every year. Here's the one from last year!
Now HERE is an RV that's a real conversation starter!, Pretty kewl!

I'd rather have a Scamp Motorhome!

That's cute as a bug. But given the evil handling characteristics of an old Beetle, even without a shack perched on top, I think I'd dispense with the engine, weld a tongue in front, and use this as a trailer!

Thought:

Remove the upper body from an old VW Van (Bus), .. extend the length and reinforce as needed.

Build a Fiberglass body on this chassis.

Finish the interior to look like a Casita, ... with driving seats in the front.

Rebuild the engine to 1800CC with dual PICT 30 Carbs (Max jetted, of course), Dual external oil coolers with electric fans, and a stinger exhaust system.

Any takers on this project?

Oh, ... I have the plans for this "Mini Wago" Never got around to build one.

Get a VW pickup. You won't need to cut up a bus. We have a '68 baywindow sitting in our garage, waiting for the hubby to work on it. Then we plan to enter the VT and the pickup in VW shows.
