Warranty service with Scamp?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and have been reading posts for a couple weeks, because my wife and I are interested in possibly buying a scamp 5th wheel model. Now if we do, and we opt for delivery, how does the warranty work? They have no dealer network, do repairs require returning the unit to the factory, or do they have some sort of agreement with any Rv shops to contract repair? This would figure into whether or not I'd pick up or have it delivered.
And BTW, anyone had to take advantage of warranty service for a Scamp? How did it work? Did you have to bring it all the way back to MN? I get the idea from reading posts here that repairs are not that often, but I have a way of resurrecting Murphy at the most inopportune times.

Thanks
Dave

The Scamp manufacturer would be best to ask most of these questions. BUT, just like all the other molded trailer manufacturers... you take it to a quality RV place to have things fixed... and the molded trailer manufacturer pays the bill. In all the years I've been a member of this forum, I've never heard any horror stories when it comes to warranty work done this way.

Here is how Casita does it. I would think Scamp is similar. Good luck on your trailer hunt

Scamp has also been known to graciously accept the owner's word for a defect and send parts directly to the owner.
Appliances have separate manufacturer's warrantees which are honored by their dealers.

I just purchased a 13 ft Scamp this year. I hated the awning that it came with and Kent the owner eventually sent me a call tag and I am in the process of returning for a refund. My opinion is that they will take care of you but you may have to be very persistent as I have had to call Kent about 15 times just to get to this point. General warranty work would be easier though as you would just have the repair shop bill Scamp.
