was it copied...or did it copy.....

I ran across this trailer for sale.....1978 Trav-L-Mate.....looks exactly like a BF 17G.....maybe even better with the wider left dinette seat, two table option, bigger back window.....( and BTW only asking 2800... in Nelson, BC )

when was the first 17G produced I wonder?

I think the fridge is in a different place, but otherwise it looks just like the older Bigfoot 17 floor plan. It even has the same lip on the front.

Bigfoot began business in 1978. Interior is very similar.

The Bigfoot 17G has a slightly longer kitchen counter. The stove is all the way to the left (ie towards the rear of the trailer), the sink is right next to the stove and then there is some good counter space with the fridge below that. Otherwise the arrangement looks quite similar.

looks like there is NO "free lunch"....

what appears to be a longer dinette seat came at the cost of a much shorter kitchen and counter space....not to mention the fact that the stove/sink layout is sorta backwards (to me anyways)....a stove in a corner can be made to "work"...a sink in a corner NEVER does (IME)

that basic floorplan is very common in older trailers of this size. Details will very, but the same basic shape of dinette upfront, corner bath etc can be seen in lots of them.

Bigfoot copied it, so to speak. My Leocraft is a 17g plan and it's a 77, before BF.
