Was there ever an Aluminum Scamp?

Hi all. Over in one of the Facebook Groups a person posted this photo and in the comments is saying that this is a '76 ALUMINUM Scamp. I have a hunch we got a leg being pulled, but I thought I'd ask the "experts"...
Was there ever a "Tin Can" Scamp?

...inquiring minds want to know.

Unless it's just a trick of the lens, there isn't a single rivet or seam showing on the body of that trailer except at the beltline. If made of aluminum it seems to me that it would have to have been "stamped" in that exact shape.

Is that even possible????

Looks like a painted Scamp to me! :-)

Note to add: The party has posted inside photos of the trailer and you can see they used the same spray can to make the fridge cover aluminium as well ;-)

Yeah- only a really BIG beer can.

Point being, I don't think I've ever seen an aluminum-skinned trailer whose skin wasn't constructed of panels, usually riveted together.

I think if he posted a photo of the other side of the trailer and the top you will see rivets. He has posted inside photos and there are clearly acorn nuts in the roof holding upper cabinets up and he does have lower cabinets on the drivers side.... no photo of inside passenger side... did he take out the cabinets?? or fiberglass them in?

Personally just think the guy is trying to pull a few people legs on the FB page!

They did go to a lot of trouble to make it look like it was aluminum, but if you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.

Looks neat though, wish I had thought of that.

I'm sure it's not aluminum because if it were it would have dents in it

I'll try again

You can paint a Scamp Airstream Aluminum Silver, but it's still a Scamp

OR

You can paint a molded fiberglass Scamp with Aluminum paint, but it's still a molded fiberglass Scamp...

Windows make me think it might have originally been a Love Bug with Scamp decals applied after the paint job.
