We are not alone in the universe

OK, I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but...

"Retro mania" is alive and well in the stick built/canned ham world.
Check out this site Little Vintage Trailer — A blog about vintage trailers and glamping
Many old, pardon me, vintage, trailers like Shasta, Aljo, Aristocrat, Scotty, etc. have been lovingly preserved, restored and glamped up.

And this crowd has their own forum, of course. Home | Vintage Trailer Talk
And many other online resources.

Also, I think it's Shasta that does a new "retro" trailer, with the little wings.

They ain't cheap. But they're very popular. Prices are comparable to vintage eggs. And, they sell very fast.

All very interesting.... (well, to me anyway)

It's not the size.....

You are not alone. I enjoy looking at the other sites too, as they bring back fond memories of camping with my parents when we had one of the old "canned hams" with a wooden interior and wooden screen door with a little sliding door in it. I can remember the man in the truck who would visit our campground in the desert each year to sell huge blocks of ice for our ice boxes. That and an old wooden ice pick also evoke fond memories. I think it's great that new generations are preserving and restoring those old/vintage trailers. I look as mine as modern, but in reality it's well over 40 years old already!

Good day Philip. Luv to see those vintage trailers, clubs, and sites. My dad bought his first TT in 1960, a 16' Shasta. It weighed about 1,500lbs. Thnxs for posting the links.

PS..... Go Habs Go! We are counting on our Canadian team to come through for Canada this year.

I absolutely love them; this whole small trailer thing for me started when I saw my cousin's 1964 Shasta compact. And take note: many of them have been around for decades and decades.

But alas, our fix it skills are very limited, so we went with new.
