We Found Our Egg!

Yesterday afternoon I saw an ad on Craigslist for a 2005 Spirit Deluxe just 25 miles from our home. We called the guy, drove over to take a look, liked what we saw and put down a deposit.

Today we brought her home!

She is a clone of everyone else's Casita, of course, but she is far more beautiful to us because she's ours!

So after four years of hanging around the fiberglass forums, I finally have an egg of my own!

I have lots of mods planned, but will have to recover from the financial shock of buying this one before I start on them!

It looks like it's ready to camp in (and willing too). Better plan a little trip. Isn't it wonderful when a nice one pops up for sale so close to home? I have a neighbor about 3 blocks away with a 13' Scamp front bath, and every time I drive by I look for a 'for sale' sign just in case.

Lynn, I knew I would be happy to get a Casita, but I didn't realize how happy. And it's going to be so much fun to mod and decorate her!

Kootenaigirl, she was in beautiful condition. I was truly surprised at how well she has been taken care of.

Mike, it really was an answer to prayer to find one so close!

We plan to go home to Florida for Thanksgiving and spend two or three weeks camping in Central Florida and visiting friends. Then, if we can swing it, we'd like to go to Texas to visit my sister for Christmas.

She definitely won't grow any moss under her tires!

Matching the dog was our main criteria in choosing a new trailer!
