Looking for averages on all trailers.
My 1986 13' Scamp ------> 181 LBS tongue weight

Last measured tongue weight - 486 lbs. (see below for make model).

220 lb dry, typically 305 lb loaded (minimal water)

Both are roughly 10% of total trailer weight.

Last time I weighed it, the TW was about 200 lbs and the axle weight was about 1,750 lbs, so I was at 10.25% (200/(200+1750).

Everyone should keep in mind that Tongue Weights are really not just standalone weights but should always be taken in context with the overall trailer weight. One adjusts the balance to achieve the desired proportion; one does not just live with what may be there.
