Shakedown trip is going to be about 1200 miles. I suppose I'm in the same boat as someone buying a trailer three states away; at least I've had a chance to do some things to it. I did tow it to the tire shop this morning with no problems. I'm getting new tires, and new bearings (they looked pretty bad.) The spare tire is good.

In the meantime I'm cleaning house, storing away linens (we sometimes get rats in the winter), and packing the car. It would have been nice to have the trailer ready to go weeks ago so that I could JUST be closing up the cabin but the trip permit is only good for three days.

Tonight I'm going to get pictures of the interior. I don't know if I'll get them posted before I get back to Fresno, though.

The trip is down I5 to whatever that highway is that goes by Elkton and Drain out to Reedsport, then 101 to Eureka. I'll probably have to overnight somewhere but I don't know where since I don't know how fast I'll go with the trailer. Visit daughters and agility trial in Eureka, then home to Fresno. It is ONLY supposed to be 94 in Fresno when I get back.

Yea Fresno! I grew up (from age 9) in Fresno. Sometimes called the north part of the Mojave Desert. The Summer nights there are pleasant. I have a distant cousin there, Bobbye Meyer. Maybe you know her.

Lol, never met Bobbye Meyer...I'll keep my ears open, though!

I got the trailer back and parked in the driveway. It doesn't back quite the same way my boat (also single axle) does, but close enough. It pulls a lot better now- the bearings were in bad shape, I guess.
