We're buying a Lil Snoozy!

We visited the lil Snoozy factory yesterday and we'll be buying one this week! This little camper is amazing. The wife and I have been wanting to upgrade to something (from our 1974 Eco boler clone) with a larger bed and a shower for a while now. We were willing to look at just about anything. First we thought we wanted a 21ft funfinder because the interior is just so homey, but I read so many horror stories about leaks and things just breaking in general. The only non-fiberglass trailer we could find that seemed to be built right was the camplite all aluminum trailers. My wife didn't think those were "homey" enough and I had to agree.

So we hit the road and drove for 5 hours from Atlanta (I'm a slow driver) to visit the Snoozy factory. The layout is brilliant, the quality is amazing and we decided while we were there that we just have to have one! We've decided to attempt to do something a little different and get the snoozy painted the same color as our tow vehicle. I hope it works out! (picture attached)

Good for you Kenneth and wife! I saw where you have your Eco for sale. I hope everything works out swimmingly for you.

And you will post pictures when you get the Lil Snoozy, won't you

it's a promise

I promise to post dozens of pictures

After we pick up the snoozy we plan to camp near the beach in Charleston (only about an hour away), then if there isn't anything that needs to be fixed or adjusted before we drive away, we'll travel down the east cost for a few days sleeping at various camps, taking lots of pictures of the snoozy (and a few nature pics while we are there).

A red Snoozy would be a sight to behold. How exciting! How long do you have to wait?

That should be a really sharp rig. We drive past the factory on I26 each time we go to NC, and keep meaning to stop in and see the camper inside. They sure are cute! There's usually one sitting outside when they're open.

Interesting trailer concept. Looks good too, and lots of nice features and quality built into it. No doubt the red is going to look sharp.

These are new to me, and I have couple questions/observations. It would seem there are a few things missing from the standard trailer fair. No cooking facilities at all inside other than an optional microwave. No heater, even as an option, and A/C is standard whether you need it or not.

Is this trailer focused towards those that stay only in campgrounds, and in warm climates? It has my curiosity going.

From what I've seen a lot of people (including myself with my current trailer) do all of their cooking either outdoors or using a hot plate indoors. I think the A/C and no heater is a southern thing. We can handle the mild winters with a space heater or even just with blankets, but summers are unbearable without A/C. I've taken my Eco out a few times in the winter and it gets pretty darn hot with a $14 space heater from walmart.

If you really need propane and a gas stove that could be installed fairly easily.

Makes sense, Kenneth. Even up here in the colder climate, I do most of my cooking outdoors, but there is the odd ugly day it is nice to be inside.

We just got back from a two week trip from Charleston Sc through central Tenn and back with our Snoozy. She's a real "head turner" everywhere we camped. Stopped at Devils Fork,Cloudland Canyon Park, Tim Ford (after our tour of Jack Daniels) Cumberland SP ( where we listened to some great Bluegrass music and ate at a terrific Italian restaurant called "Stagecoach" across from park entrance,Fall Creek Falls and Powhatan Natl Forest near Asheville. Had a GREAT time. Everyone loved the Snoozy. I want to see the paint job too!! Alan and Nicholas have a lot to be proud of. Happy Trails!! We,also, mostly cook outdoors on my old Coleman, but we also use an electric frypan and now a crockpot. Lots of options for the Snoozy.

How did you like Devil's fork? We've been thinking about making a trip there. Cloudland Canyon is one of our favorites (been there half a dozen times).

I can't wait to get my snoozy! It's all I can think about!
