What Craigslist search terms to find an egg?

We currently have a '78 13' Boler that I may or may not be rebuilding. If we do replace it, it will likely be with a 16' rather than a 13' & something a bit newer, or at least with better bones than our current one. I'm a Craigslist junky & in the mean time I'm trying to get an idea for the local market for fiberglass trailers (for both selling ours if it comes to that & researching a new one).

Plugging "fiberglass" into a search doesn't help much, even in just the RV section. My current search is "scamp | casita | boler" under all categories which yields about a 50% relevant results, which is pretty good.

Any suggestions on brands I'm forgetting or other good search terms to put in there?

Just a bit of warning about Craig's List and fiberglass trailers. There have been many "Casita/Boler/Scamp, etc, scam ads posted there over the past few years. Be wary, because they may not be legit, especially if the price seems too good to be true. Caveat Emptor.

Other brands:
Trillium, Biggar, Bigfoot, Burro, Escape, Fiberstream, Uhaul,....

Also try Fibreglass, as well as Fiberglass.

Also try Big Foot (two words). It does not show up too often and usually it's a RV dealer or not too savvy seller.

Ya, seen a good few mostly Casita scams recently. I'm just doing some research at this point. All craigslist transactions I do are in person in cash some place that doesn't spook me (only had that happen once way out in the boonies looking for a flat deck trailer).

When . looking for FGRV's on C/L I use the RV heading, put in min 2000 and max 10000 and browse for what comes up.

Another source is fiberglass-rv-4sale.com as they trap most of the C/L listings, albeit a day late for many.

Key words that I commonly find in FGRV ads are leakproof, lightweight & Scamp, even if none are true, they are still used in a wide variety of FGRV ads.

And as Casita Greg mentioned, there is a plethora of scam ads in the FGRV listings.

Red flags usually include:
#1, Odd price, like $5647.00 this is done to keep buyers from locating the other identical ads in other places by preventing a search by price. They will all be a few $$ different.
#2 As mentioned, a too low price. Scammers do this because they want a buyer to think that they are scamming a seller who doesn't know it's value...Karma Rules apply
#3 Odd story a) Divorce forces sale, b) Relocated to new job c) Left by a deceased relative, or the most disgusting scam of all d) military person being shipped to Afghanistan etc.

Also "It's all packed in a crate to be shipped" and "Lets use (something like) eBay buyers service for the money" and last "Guaranteed, if you don't like it I will have it picked up and refund you money" are all scammers. In this last scam they usually fish buyers in by offering to ship with a 50% deposit for your approval.

When I reply my 1st question is usually "When and where can I see your trailer".

LOL you missed one of the more popular ones - they are having to sell it to pay for their daughters wedding! Which explains why they are out of town planning the wedding but they will arrange to ship the trailer right to you and if you don't like the trailer you can always ship it right back!

Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com is the best place to look through for current as well as historical listing for price ideas - and historically they have been pretty good at pulling &/or flagging scams as well.

One other note to add here. Ask if they have a clear title.
