Lora,
I can speak for both of us on this one.
The thrill of rving, of continually being together, of exploring corners of the continent we didn't even knew existed, all these things overwhelms our need for much other than each other and our little egg.
Truly our lives have been transformed.

Thanks for mentioning that Deryk. My hubster (love that moniker )has had two back surgeries and I guess, subconsciously, I'm always considering that.
Guess I'll have to add to my growing list of things to think about - comfortable bedding. I found that froli system interesting - wonder if you can rent one to check it out? Have you tried it yet Deryk?

Ive seen it at a sailboat expo but was much larger then I am now so I just looked at the littlepieces ofplastic and didn't feel very optimistic about it. Now as my weight is getting much closer to a "normal" person it does get me curious but I sleep pretty well on my nearly new cushions with a memmory foam topper.
but yeah with back problems, comfort is real important. And you should look at several different trailers and see how he fit's. Im glad Im not tall.. its an issue with alot of boats too... most smaller ones arent setup for people over 6'

Bigfoot coming to VA
BIG news! We're adopting an Egg. My brother drove to Eugene and is picking up the 89 Bigfoot 17G. He'll be towing it to Mom's house in CA tomorrow. We're going out for her 85th this summer and will bring it home then. I'm on pins & needles! Bro said it is in fair shape, just needs some TLC.
Thank you to everyone for sharing their insights. I'm nervous, but I think this is doable. Bro will be getting it weighed this week. If we have to, we can pull it home with the Sierra.

Hey, Lora! FYI:
My husband is 5'11"....now....
He was 6'4" when I met him, but I soon cut him down to size!

Yikes!
I missed the "we got one" post!
No need to tell hubby about that "cuttin' him down to size" suggestion...congratulations on the Bigfoot!

Future Pics
Will have the CA contingent take some pictures for me, and I will post once I get them. It will have to share a room with a stickie (my bros hybrid) for the next 4-5 months. Hope it doesn't pick up any bad habits .

Thank you. I've only had him (DH) for 30 years, so I'm still whittling away. I've often offered to cut him off at the knees! He just says, "yeah, okay."

I hear ya- mine was slightly used when I got him so I can't take all the credit, I guess...(second marriage, blah blah blah).
It's only been twenty-three years for us, but all things considered, it looks like I'll be keeping this one!

Thank you. I'll let y'all know how it goes. I am nervous, but the little brat was just calling to me. I kept expecting to see it gone, but he just sat there with those big hang-dog eyes !
And, while I had originally discounted the BF because of weight, I was not aware that older models had the 3500 GVWR. Will have to do something about the TW - probably reduce to one propane bottle and look at the FG/composites.
