My wife says this reminds her of her old Barbie Kitchen she had as a child. It's only a week old, and so far used for coffee and tea. This is screaming for a side shelf, or two...

T & K, well done! really like your modern look. Curious where or how did you do the diamond plate back splash, and the extended counter top? Forgive me if you have already posted this, if so I do not know how I missed it. It's extremely serviceable.
Great job!

thanks for the ideas...

this thread inspired me to rethink and redo the galley in my 16' casita. many thanks to those of you who posted photos and shared your mods. the ikea hardware was a pleasant surprise...inexpensive and very sturdy stuff.

Mike -- Great job!! We are considering putting our AC on that side as well and moving the fridge to the front of the trailer. Do you have pics on what yours looks like inside the cabinet? Just curious to see how you did it!

Thanks!

I love this kitchen - it's so tidy. What do you use to hang catch all baskets on the wall for organizing?

We use only one burner at a time.

Hi Donna - I see you a lot on this site and really appreciate your info along with Dave T's. How can I see pictures of your trailer - would love to see it and not sure if I am navigating around here correctly.

I use 2 burners fairly often - usually when camping off the grid and I am making breakfast inside due to poor outside weather. Like being able to make coffee and scrambled eggs at the same time. Or I am on the road and do a quick stop to cook dinner along the way and I don't want to turn on the hot water tank on to do the dishes.... will often start boiling the water for dishes while I am still cooking.

My trailer has 3 burners and I have never used all 3 at the same time... would go for a 2 burner stove only if that was an option on a future trailer.

I removed the 3 burner cook top from my Scamp and will at some point replace it with a relocated, new stainless 2 burner top.

SherryNPaul, yes, they are the Smart Tiles that you peel and stick. I love them, easy to use, lightweight and instant beautification of a space.

We rarely use the inside counter for cooking. Our kitchen has that open air feeling. A rail on the outside of the trailer lets us move the table outside and a collapsible cook station gives plenty of prep area.

Marina - What is under the tile? Did you adhere it directly to the fiberglass shell? What adhesive did you use? Usually peel n' stick to me means that I'll be gluing back up with something down the road.... It's beautiful, by the way!

are you asking about mine? (if not, i'm embarrassed). but...all of the stuff (hanging rods, baskets, etc) were purchased from ikea. you can see their stuff at ikea.com. it was amazingly affordable also...all the stuff in the photo and some left over was about $30.
