After removing the foam-backed fabric from the walls I discovered a factory label in the Cadet. It's in Polish because the Predom was made in Poland and renamed Cadet when finished in Canada.

Zaklady Sprzetu Domowego I Turystycznego
Predom-Prespol
w Niewiadowie
Typ: N-126d,e
Nr fabr: 3525

The N-126d model is the side kitchenette, which we have; the e model is front kitchenette. Do we have trailer number 3525? The N-126 is still being manufactured in Poland and I am hoping for some factory parts. I wish I could remove the label and frame it, but it is thoroughly glued to the fiberglass.

I will send an email and a photo to the factory and see what I get in reply.

This calls for some dancin' okra!

Don,

How about posting some photos of your progress and your mfg label here? Other Cadet owners may find it helpful, and I'd find them very interesting!

Thanks!

Roger

Excellent find, Don.

I assume we'll see the photo in your Our 85 Cadet blog. Maybe you should make a signature line with the address?

I'm going to work a little bit on the Cadet this afternoon and if I can get a clear photo of the label I'll post it. I removed the pop-top and discovered it will need some serious work; a previous owner must have had a thing about driving under low hanging tree branches. I did email the factory in Poland and sent a photo, so maybe they will be interested and will respond. I would like to replace the damaged front window with a genuine factory part rather than trying to find a replacement window to fit, having a new one fabricated, or downsizing the opening to fit what is locally available. Lots of foam from the foam-backed fabric is still clinging to the interior and I'll wire brush all that. Hopefully this week I'll find time to take up the plywood floor to see what's hiding underneath.

I could have bought an old house or this trailer. As far as projects go, sounds about even to me!

Gee, I suppose I would have noticed the blog URL which was probably already in Don's signature line if I had my board preferences set to show signatures...

Thanks for the Cadet info and blog URL reminder, Don.

The upside of this project is that I get to go to Lowe's every week to buy new tools!

I guess I can help a bit here. It translates as:

Home & Tourism Equipment Factory
Predom-Prespol (model names)
Made in Niewiadów
Model N-126d,e
Serial Number 3525

Victor, What would Predom-Prespol translate to?
I had been wanting to see what the Polish was stating, Thanks for the Translation.

Jean Marie, I think you are looking for DonInChatt (that's his member name here). You should be able to compose an email for him by clicking on his user-name. (I made it a link to our email system.)

Hey, you are welcome, Jean-Marie. And thank you for the link to your Belgian Oldtimer Caravan Club!! I like the way the site is organized! Someone there even has a "Casita!" (It doesn't look anything like my Casita!)
