What is it?

I go to garage sales... antique shops... auctions & look for old radios, advertising, old jukeboxes, pop machines etc. The other day I found this thing that nobody knows what it is. It's a little more that a foot long & when you press the lever on the handle a solid piece pushes out from the square part as if it were to push something out.

Does anyone have a idea what it was used for or what it's called?

......

Is there a prize for "Best guess"?

I used to have a junk store, and always put things like this on the counter under a sign that said,
"If you can convince me that you know what this is, you can have it!"

Come to think of it, some of that stuff is still in my garage...

Francesca

P.S.

How about a picture (maybe taken on a lighter background) of the other side?
And is there any lettering /numbering at all on it?

F.

Yup! An invention for lazy campers.
Lift burger, squeeze handle, automatically flip burnt offering past the pan and into charcoal.
