....I think firstly its the people and then the tie that binds us, our trailers!!

IF ya look closely enough at Larry's (above) posted pic, he's holding his 'Over The Hill' mug (typically) UPSIDE DOWN, rotflmbo!!!!!

I have wonderd about that too, why this forum is so warm and welcoming.

This is the first forum I joined, and was surprised and dismayed how MEAN the next ones were. I vacated those sites -- fast!

Hey, maybe that's it -- FGRV owners can vacate unseemly sites fast!

Merry Crispness, all.

Again, when registering, use your real name, not a screen name (e.g., EggOwner). We feel it makes the website more friendly. If you're not comfortable using your last name, i.e. John Doe, then just use John D. Registrations with aliases or screen names will be removed.
The above is like a prime directive; such an elegant and simple rule. I think it is the root of our personality. An alias only helps you hide. I have nothing to hide, here.

I was asked the name of the usenet group that is often on the other end of the congeniality spectrum from MFROG and it is:

I get to it through Google:

Real names are not required.

Yes I have been a member of this group many years now AND IT IS THE BEST. My reasons are the easy to post format . The avitar thing , when I read a post I can quickly glance over and see where this person is comming from. The mixture of people Some forums are all grosley opiniated Men And of corse the monitors Bad taste posts don't last long. And i am sorry to say that I belive I missed my contribution last year and i will take care of that now. I would like to see this one last.

Part of the civility of this forum, I believe, is the thing that draws us together. Having a fiberglass trailer means a certain level of financial comfort — we can afford our small toys — but not the ostentatious wealth required to own some of the big toys. Of course I know there are individuals here who could buy anything they want, but as a general rule most of us are people of modest means who worked for and earned what we have, and are content with our small trailers because they suit us and our lifestyles. I think that means we each have self-respect, and respect for others who have "paid their dues."
And as others have said, the moderators are superb in keeping us on the straight and narrow so that when we do meet in person we mind our ps and qs (for fear of flying monkeys).
For whatever the reasons, this forum is the best - helpful, informative and friendly. Hope everyone has a great holiday.
