What is this? Trailer ID, please....

This pic was posted on another group I am on last week, it's been bugging me ever since. I know I have seen this before, I kinda remember a discussion about it here before as because if I remember correctly it's not molded fiberglass. But I can't find any answers from my saved info. Does anyone know what this is? Cute what ever it is.

It looks tin. Reminded me of a horse trailer at first. I do love those big windows though.

Andrew might know! It kinda, sorta looks like an Eriba Puck... but that window-ish looking thing on the top has me stumped.

Robin, where did you originally see the picture posted?

Same here Donna, that's the first thing I checked, but that top as well as a few other things that nix the Puck.

Robin, where did you originally see the picture posted?

A facebook glamper group, you wanna link to it?

Thomas G, kinda looks like one doesn't it?

Well hopefully, someone (Andrew) will know........
I remember someone asking about this or simalar trailer and I remember our discussions determined it wasn't fiberglass, but I can't remember where/when that discussion was. I think here, but I am not finding it. So that's why I threw it out.

Of course! International Glamping Weekend is the first weekend in June: International Glamping Weekend — a weekend dedicated to glamorous camping — June 1–2, 2013 and I'm joining a group of woman at an Oregon State Park (L.L. Stubb Stewart) to GLAMP!

Donna D,

Ok, Donna I can't provide links because you have to be a member for the links to open for you. So you will have to log onto FB, then in the search box, type, Glampers Galore scroll down and click on Glampers Galore then request to be a member once it opens up.

Same with,
The Loyal Order of the Glamper

Both fun groups, Glampers Galore is rather new and not as active but still very nice people. Loyal is super active...... Lot's of cute lil trailers. Glamp on....

Like a Puck, and many horse trailers, it does look like the walls are metal sheet wrapped around framing.

Sure, but if it's British it would need to have a rear door, because the photo shows what would be the curb side in Britain.

It does look European, both in style and in the coupler (which looks like a typical Euro overrun braking coupler).

Hmmm, that's a real puzzler. What is needed is an Actual Know-It-All (ie, someone who does actually know it all) rather than just a Know-It-All (ie, someone who just thinks he knows it all) such as myself.

I've hunted high and low and can't find anything that even looks like it is related to this trailer. Certainly the details look European and some of them (the lantern/trolley top, the window construction, the coupler handle) look specifically British, but the front marker lights on a trailer that must be pre-1960 suggest continental Europe to me.

I'm not sure the absence of a left-side door means the trailer isn't British as I suspect it has a central rear door - fitting in a side door with that roof shape would be hard. I can see the fiberglass roof/alloy sides similarity to the Puck trailers but they are generally smaller than this and it's not likely they would have started bigger and then got smaller.

I will post a message on a British forum to see if anyone identifies this, but that's likely to take a week or two and anyway may not produce a result.

Looks like the inspiration that Airstream may have used for their Basecamp.

Thank You for giving the hunt for a ID a whirl.

I agree!

The group this pic was posted on had many of the same suggestions as to what it might be, horse trailer, Base Camp, etc........

It's similar to this Westcraft. Notice the tin construction and trolley top. Couldn't find a smaller version with single axle.

There are construction similarities - many trailers are similarly constructed - but the inspiration for Airstream's (discontinued) Basecamp was Airstream's own 1935 Torpedo.

Well the Photo stream pretty confirms the trailer was in the UK in July of 2010 at least
