What Kind Of Trailer Is This?

Hi, we're a Trillium family. We came across this trailer today, pretty sure it's not fibreglass, but though I would ask here anyway, if anyone knows what kind of trailer this may be? Or era?

Thanks, KristaClick image for larger version

Kinda, but a MKP is molded fiberglass and rounded. The trailer posted looks like several different brands of European Caravans and I'm not knowledgeable enough to state which one.

This is a MKP Grandesse

it looks like an Award to me, it would help if you had pix of the inside. Award was built in Ontario in the 80's and 90's. They were based on a British design and very popular here.

It looks like a British made Sprite. The door is on the right-side too.

I think that design carried through from the sixties and through the seventies.

The photo seems to have a Vancouver Island vibe to it, but that's a wild guess.

What trailer...

The trailer you are looking for is a Bailey. Looking at the rear double window, I'd call it a Mikado T made by Bailey about 1968 or possibly 1969. They were British made and were imported into Canada in the late 60's and early 70's. The 'T' stands for toilet model behind the single rear window.

If you need anything else, contact me directly at motormail at yahoo dot com.
They also have shocks, a coil spring suspension and a braking system all at around 800lbs. That should be a two piece door although I don't see the upper half separate hinges.
An interesting 'rig'

What kind of trailer is this?

The trailer is not a Sprite for sure it is the 13' version. Just sold mine after I bought my '76 Trillium 3 years ago. I have an Alpine made by the same company in England in my back yard, both of those trailers have a flat roof from side to side and curve down only on front and rear. A friend had a Bailey also made in England it had a peaked roof and was a 13' trailer as well. Google the trailer names and you will no doubt find some info and pictures of nearly any common trailer made. Orphans will be much harder to find any info on. I googled Sprite and found an ad showing an Austin America as the tow vehicle. Good thing these Sprite's had surge brakes on them! Duane

What kind of trailer is this?

Hello Mike
I live in Geary 8 km south of Oromocto.
I travelled to Sydney to buy the Trillium I have now, The old Alpine was bought only to get parts for my Sprite. I have no papers for it, Once I remove anything of value it's going to the junk yard again. The stove ,furnace & fridge are gone already. The door & windows are there as is the toilet and closet. I am going to use the inverter in the Trillium.
Cheers. Duane
