Talking What Should I Name Her?

Oh no, I'm DOOOOMED! I just got my dirty little hands on an old Beachcomber and I can't let go! ;-) After selling the partially completed Boler "The Pine Cone" in 2010, (You can search for it here on the forum.) I moved to BC, lived the "good life" as a caretaker of the abandoned cannery of Butedale, on Princess Royal Island for a year, (A one thousand square mile island with a population of one.) Then I had to move to Kitimat due to a bad tooth and finances. (Or lack thereof.) But the good life was not lost completely. A guy I met in Butedale lives in Kitimat and invited me to stay at his gold claim in exchange for my help at said claim. So, back to the bush I happily went. However, sleeping in a Clark Jungle Hammock, as insanely comfy as it is, didn't leave me with a lot of storage space. Which led me to the quest for a new trailer. When I got back to so called "civilization", I started looking for another Boler, or something similar. Found a couple of Bolers, but the owners wouldn't sell. Dang! Then, I just happened to come down my street from the opposite direction that I normally travel, and lo-and-behold! There's a Beachcomber sitting at the back of my neighbor's driveway. Like, you've GOT to be kidding me! So, it looks like I'll be redoing another fiberglass trailer with knotty pine again! And THIS time there WILL be a wood stove in it when I'm done. Anyways, there are no pictures yet. (It's buried in snow. --- The town name Kitimat means "People of the snow" in the Haisla's (First Nation) dialect. And it's VERY well named too.) Anyhoo, my old Boler I named the "Pine Cone" due to the shape, and all of the pine inside. So I figured I should name the Beachcomber something along the same lines. Maybe "The Pine-Comb"? Hee-hee! "The Driftwood"? Anyone got some fun names? Well, that's all for now folks. I'll update with some pictures as soon as it's possible.

Cheers!

Cory

Off topic, but Cory, I did a fair amount of backpacking and camping in a Clark jungle hammock. LOVED it until the bones got achy.

ooooh Cory I can't wait to see what you come up with. For the uninformed, this is the topic Cory is talking about: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...one-34235.html

I sure HOPE not! Hey! Keep your hands away from there!

Thanxs all, thanx Donna! Yeah it's gonna be fun working on the lil' beastie. From what I've seen so far, it's gonna be infinitely easier to fit straight boards into a mostly straight trailer, than it was to make straight boards fit into a mostly round trailer.

And thanx for the suggestions for the name everyone! I don't know what I'm gonna call her (it) yet, but I'm sure I'll be able to choose a name eventually. Actually, the first one I thought of (The Pine Comb) still tickles me funny bone, so I may end up sticking with that one.

Anyhoo, we've had a few days of above freezing temps, combined with some serious downpours, so the Beachcomber should be accessible pretty soon. And then... THE PICTURES cometh!

Later!

Cory
