What would you build?
On another thread I read a post by Benita that had her wish list for a perfect trailer. That got me to thinking (danger young Will Robinson). Almost all of the folks around here are quite inventive with their modifications to suit their needs. What "IF" there was an Egg company that could build to your specificatons, pricing comparable to other manufacturers, what would your Dream Egg consist of? :conf
Mine... 15 footer, at least a 36"x48" shower/bathroom combo w/ opening skylight, oven w/ 4 burner range, micro w/ exaust fan, 4cu.ft 3 way fridge under the, loft style full/queen bed with tons o' storage underneath, flip down from the wall style side dinette table w/foldable chairs, overhead entertainment centre, 1 piece removable Berber carpet, 8 gal hot LP water tank, outside auxillary LP valve for grill, attached screen room, outside shower, hi-rise axle, and all this with a weight under 2000lbs.

Eric, you forgot the part about "and operate on a self-sustaining fuel cell".

I want it!
1. Self-waxing exterior.
2. Receiver hitch on the rear, for using a bike rack and/or large locking box for generator, tools, toys, barbecue, patio carpet, etc., etc., etc.,....and I don't want it to effect the way the trailer tows.
3. Automatic-darkening windows....similar to the glass in the "new" welder's hoods.

Ahhhhh... silly me... of course you're right! :thumb I could use an electric range and oven, water heater, etc., and only need the LP for the grill! See what I mean about you all... very inventive!

Northern-Lite Hybrid Egg
I tried to, but can't. They don't make them anymore and I got the impression that very few (if any) were actually manufactured.
One interesting feature if you look at the photo: It's different from the usual hybrid. USUALLY, the base of the bed is formed by the door that folds out. In the northern-lite, the door folds UP and serves to largely cover the pop-up bunk once extended. Pretty spiffy feature if you ask me. Eliminates some of the tenting at the top where it's most likely to try to pool and leak.
I've never seen what the inside was like - but if done right, it COULD give you roughly the space of the Scamp 5th-wheel once you popped out the front.

Northern
If I remember correctly, the Northern Lite was built by someone who defected from Bigfoot Industries. Notice the similarity?
Northern Light does still have a website and an active 800 number. However, the travel trailer is not listed as part of the current product line. Since the travel trailer was part of the 2000 product line, maybe they have one or two on a back lot or they can refer you to where a used one can be located.

Perfect trailer for ME! I love Benita's ,and Ches's, but my favorite is Lex's Biod. but those are already out there. have to come up with the perfect new to be built trailer. :conf.
sleeps 4 adults that are a little on the plump side and/or on the tall side.
cook top that rolls/ swings/ something so if I want to cook outside I can.
bathroom with toliet and shower (duh) (if I don't say that you might forget)
solar powered everything except cook top. (has to be LP)
trailer rolls around by fingertip
pulls smooth as glass like Charles's Casita, or Larry's 5th wheel :)

What would I have
I'm still working on it. Need to make more changes.
I would like something like the 1959 Pacer (Airstream) only have it in all fiberglass. There would be some interior mods and more windows.
I've just started working on the floor plan, so here are a few ideas. Could either have one 3/4 bed for one person or could have bunks for two.

How about a built-in warning system so you can be notified when approaching a tree (or some other solid object?) :o
