The fire was in 2006, the 16 remains unchanged and the 13 got an increase of about 1-1/2" inside height. The '95 standard bed is the same as the new ones...44" wide.
The deluxe can be ordered with a 54" wide bed.

At the longest [widest] most forward point, the dinette bed is 78" at the surface of the cushions.
It, of course, tapers slightly as you move aft or up.

I'm 6'0" and I sleep comfortably against the rear wall in our deluxe.
Scamps are designed to be 80" wide, which was a DOT cutoff width for certain restrictions.

As an example, we sleep on the dinette bed and I am 6'1" about 190. I have no problem. I sleep on the outside.

You might visit with some one who has one or go to an egg rally and see for yourself. Eggers are very friendly.

I'm 6'1" and the Scamp 16 and Casita 17 seem to have the same length bed in the side dinette models. I have no problem at all although I guess I don't try to stretch as long as possible. I usually am not straight out when sleeping. I guess if I laid down and really tried, I might be able to reach from head to toe. The 44" wide Scamp bed is why we upsized.

So are the 13s and 16s the same height inside now? Or is the current 13 taller than the 16'

Yes the same, but the overall height on the 13 is still shorter due primarily to the axle difference.
It is my understanding that the molds for the 13 were destroyed in the fire and the new ones were built taller, but the 16 molds were saved.
Interesting point.... I believe this small increase in height helped to facilitate the offering of a shower in the Scamp 13 Standard for the first time , circa April 2008.

Yes; officially by 2". (said 1-1/2" earlier but found 2" to be the official number according to Scamp official literature.) My bad!
Remember though that this thing is rounded everywhere, so the difference can only be found by consistently measuring in the same spot on both trailers with the same flooring. and don't forget the location and brand of roof options like fantastic fans and A/C. I am 6'0" and I can notice the difference, but find it has no real effect on comfort or utility.

I guess you really don't stand very long in a 13' Just to cook maybe.

I really don't stand very long anywhere!
But I have often explained it this way...
"When my wife and I get the notion to go ballroom dancing, we get dressed up, go out to the Scamp, and soon realize that we can't dance anyway and that's not why we bought it in the first place!

I find I can cook or shower in mine comfortably.
If I didn't like to cook, then my comfort level, when standing, would be a disadvantage since I might otherwise con my 5'3" wife into fixing all the meals. She can stand up straight in the dinette area with the table removed!

Actually, ALL of the molds were destroyed in the 2006 fire. But several trailers survived. The Eveland family sacrificed a completed 16' trailer to reverse engineer a "plug," and then molds. Once they had new molds for 16' trailers, they took that same sacrificed 16' body plug and cut a 3' section out of the middle, and rejoined the remaining ends, and thus created the molds for the new 13' trailer.

Frederick is correct. Scamp had the pictures of the reverse engineering process on their website during the rebuild of the plant. Once they were up and running again, those pictures and story came down. Too bad, it was an interesting factoid of their new history.

Aaron, you don't even stand up perfectly straight while cooking or doing dishes. At least I don't. I find I'm looking down. YMMV
