BigLew! Now your talking my language Dam that sounds awesome! Thats my type of breaky...along with BACON!
Unfortunately we are missing a couple of those key ingredients for my usual weekend big breakfast this morning, so I am just drinking strong coffee trying to get motivated to work on the rig...and its new parking spot in our driveway I have been clearing.
I'm also with ya about eating a huge big scrumptiously greasy breakfast to carry me over most of the day...till atleast a beer and a snack before supper.
I love the smell of bacon frying in the cool outside morning air...to me it goes hand in hand with camping!
Have a grateday!

The smell of bacon is awesome - except when the bacon is fried inside the camper. Then it takes forever to get it out.

Good to know Peter...I was hoping since its a small space and with the range hood going and the roof vent open it would air out quickly(since my wife is vegetarian and not a big fan of the smell of fried goods )...guess its back to the outside stove for me and my bacon...

Turn the fan to blow "in" and open the window above the stove...
The odors are pushed out the window without even getting to smell up the place to begin with. Heck you can hardly smell it from the dinette while cooking... I almost have to go outside and stand by the port side of the camper to work up an appetite!(lol)

There is no window above the stove on this '80 Boler.

Why would you want to get the bacon smell out of the camper? I love the smell of bacon! I can't figure out why someone hasn't made a perfume with bacon smell!

Can you imagine a average looking woman walking thru the mall and having the aroma of "thick sliced Bacon"? I bet ever guy in the mall would follow her! I'd break out the lettuce, tomatoe and mayo! haha...just kiddin.

We cook bacon every other day for breakfast in the rig. Once all the windows are open the great smell of bacon quickley disappears.

If you used up the bacon grease making gravy at breakfast, what would you fry the grits, spam, and eggs in?
This way, all the tasty leftover grease from breakfast- along with the plate scrapings- forms a base for a nice "milk gravy"- just sprinkle some flour in there, scrounge it around, and add milk!
The perfect complement (or camouflage) to the fire-blackened meat of your choice and your dutch oven biscuits...

My stomach has never been able to handle a large breakfast. A glass of juice is a must, usually OJ. With that might be 2 slices of toast, a bowl of cereal or oatmeal, or once a week I'll make a waffle or 3-5 small pancakes. BTW, my wife started making syrup out of Mapleine a year ago, and we like it way better than the bottled stuff.

Today I broke from the usual and made a strawberry-banana smoothie (2 bananas, 4 large strawberries, 1/2 cup milk and a bit of sugar). It filled me up.
