What's the best shelter?

Can I ask you experienced campers what's the best shelter for outside the door of a 13' camper?

Thanks!! :-)

We have used a 10' First Up canopy/screen house since 2007. It has been very sturdy, withstanding strong winds when staked down properly on all four corners. It is tall enough to be above our door, so we can put the canopy right up against the trailer and step right out into the screen house. The nice thing about the First Up model is that the legs are vertical when assembled, rather than slightly spread out at the bottom. This fits add-on bug screens and wind walls really well. The First Up sells for about $97, but is becoming a bit harder to find these days. Other brands are also available, but many have the spread legs. Here is a picture of our VT and the screenhouse.

I'm one of those strange people that believes it hard to improve on the sky.

If you really want to increase your space and have privacy along with it, when you want it, look at the 12x12 Pahaque. They also make a 10x10.

It has 4 awnings that can be rolled up out of the way, or staked out as awnings. One can be put up and over your door, making a hall into the entrance of the screen room. All four side awnings can be secured down and you have an area that can free from the wind and sun, as well as private. With the floor accessory you can have a tent. The sides are straight so you don't lose area and the ceiling is 8 foot high.

It is well made and the customer service is very good.

I think a canopy is a good idea:
