Trailer: Former Burro owner and fan!

Some of you may know how "attached" I was to my 13 foot Burro.

I spent a lot of time getting it "just right", only to come across a can't pass up deal on my 17 footer. The 13, as much as I would have loved to keep it, had to go.

My buyer was thrilled to get it a year and a half ago. He drove all the way from Seattle to get it. I was pleased, if for nothing else, that the trailer was going to live back in my "home" country.. even if I can't quite yet :-P

Shortly after, he sent me a few photos of the repairs he did, like a new front window and cleaning up my temp patches for leaks etc., but.. then he stopped emailing. Fair enough, he bought the trailer and it's not mine anymore.. I just wrote it off as getting on with life.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my email this morning to find a picture of it happily camping with it's new parents and still in service. And the same paint job ta boot! Sort of.. looks like he leveled the color division line. It used to start up at the door.

There's something about 13'ers--I love the look of them. I just decided it wasn't big enough for me. Maybe because a 13' was the first one I ever saw/toured back before I ever knew there were 17's. I like the rounded ones the best--Casitas, Burros, etc. Must have been nice to get that picture--like hearing from an old friend!

Hi, Gina! What a nifty gesture by the 'new family' to share that pic with you. We've often thought of doing something like that with a note to the folks who sold us the GeezerEgg to let them know how much we love our Scamp. Take care, L 'n D

Wish we would find out what is happening to our former baby, the Burro.
