Our Burro is leaving Chicago in about 20 minutes. That makes 6.

Yeah, but the original question is why aren't there more here in California? Do Burros just naturally migrate to the midwest?

'Cause a few were built in the late '90s in Escondido, but most of them were either built in St. Cloud MN, or Sac City, IA... and didn't stray to far from home!

Mine started out in St. cloud and was purchased by the previous owner in Arizona.
He brought it back to Illinois.
Not sure how many owners there were all together.
I'll bet there is at least one on the East coast just waiting for you to find it.
(edit by Gina D...That makes an even dozen!)

There is one 13' Burro in Vermont, that I know about. It has a HUGE storage box added to an extended frame on the back, making it a 16' trailer. The owner is an artist, who regularly attends Burning Man each year. I met him 5 years ago in Malibu, CA. He was towing with an older 4-banger Toyota Pickup. (What were they called before Tacoma?) He hated the combination, for a cross- country trip. He flies to California, now. But last I knew, he still had the Burro.
(Edit by Gina D.. This sounds like truely an unlucky 13!)

My Burro is sitting in "ready to travel" condition behind the house in Cassville,Missouri. Ours is always ready to go nap in when we want to pretend we're somewhere else. Wonder how many are lurking in back yards.
That's an even dozen!!
(edit by Gina D.. ah ah ah! A bakers dozen... 14!)

Oh, alright, alright, I'm here. My 13 ft Burro came to Jenny Pines, our home in the mini-rocky foothills of northwest New Jersey, down from up in Massachusetts, where the original owner had it shipped to him as a kit on a skid. Came from the Burro plant in Plymouth, Minn.
It's out in the back yard right now, braying for the open road. Whoa out there, easy, boy. Papa's coming.
17!

Our egg (17' Burro) is safely tucked away in the Chicken in Southeastern Michigan. I've assumed the reason I do not see eggs around here is that they are stored inside.

Add 1 more Burro in Central Georgia. Yeah, we have a few in the Southeast.
I also know of an older Burro (early - 80's) for sale near Dublin, Georgia. Asking $2500 with work required. Been for sale off of the main roads for ~ 2 months. Someone in the area interested can contact me and I'll send them directions.

Way back in this thread, Roger had a good point... to paraphrase: the natural homes of RVs are storage yards and owners' back yards. If they see even one week of use per year that's lucky, and most of that time is at a campsite, so the very few actually on the road are the ones blocking your way when you're in a hurry.
Eggs last well, since their shells don't rot, so egg owners seem especially willing to leave them parked for years (again, not on the road). There's a Boler 1300 in a yard near my house which I don't think has moved for five years.
The other extreme seems to be high-end motorhomes, which get used a lot (relatively), presumably because their owners have hundreds of thousands of dollars tied up in them and are determined to get their money's worth.

We are the third owners of our '81 burro and it has lived it's whole life in michigan. It does not have the insulation in it and was not used at all in the winter. It still needs alot of love since there are many spots where the fiberglass is flaked off.
Work in progress.
I think that makes....a few midwest eggs.

Mine was built in Plymouth, Minn in 1984 and went to California. It was sold again, then I bought it, making me the 3rd owner. I brought it up to the NW. Am I #21?
