Where do you shave?

Lately, in my 70s, I discovered (relearned) the advantages of shaving with a simple double edged butterfly safety razor, brush and soap cup. It is simple, effective, cheap, fast and has a nostalgic bend that reminds me of my geezerism. In fact I should get a few 'wife-beater' type undershirts to feel truly from the past!
However, my Bigfoot 17CB is packed away and I'm trying to picture where I might accomplish this task every couple of days when trailering. I was thinking that a small mirror in the bathroom (?) would be best, but my wife reminded me that I am big and it is small. I'd probably have to tuck my elbows in and turn slowly, and the lamp is on the other side from the sink. Maybe outside? Nah, too unreliable for weather.
How about over the galley sink? There's a light there but no mirror. Hmmmm!
So gentlemen (sorry ladies, but most of you wouldn't really have an input!), what's your suggestions?
My previous methods were mostly Phillips type rotary head electrics, but I had tried the disposables with 2, 3 and 5 blades for the life of the blades, which were very short and EXPENSIVE!
I hope that I get a few really good ideas here.

I use 6-8 drops of the Secret Shave on a wet face. Secret Shave is a low friction fluid that is in a bottle about the size of eye drops.

Works great with just about any razor. Absolutely no mess.

We have a full length mirror on the outside of our bathroom door. I shave there taking a few mess free minutes. The blade rinses free in seconds.

I don't know about your big foot but in my eggcamper I installed a small mirror on one of the cabinet doors above the galley sink with one of those stick up puck led lights just above it. It works great!!!! I too use the brush and old school razor.

You need not keep the water running, but I recommend mounting a mirror (found in the camping department) in the shower with double stick tape. Several minutes of warm spray as you shower followed by lather from nearly any source will soften a beard up nicely. Razor blades last far longer. Works at home too.

I robably should have said more about Secret Shave. It works really great. I tried it because the kids gave me a little bottle. I've been using one bottle for four months. No soap to wash off afterwards, no soap to wash down the drain. I rinse the blade for seconds twice. It is truly amazing.

I switched to a safety razor a couple years ago because I was tired of getting ripped off for disposables.
I shave outside. A pan of hot water heated over the Coleman or fire works great, summer or winter.

Kinda funny, all this talk about "retro-style" shaving... Hell, I've been using a double-edged single blade razor with a soap mug and hogs bristle brush for as long as I can remember. IMHO it still gives the best shave of all of them. You can keep your multi-blade (insert here however many blades you figure you need to scrape your fur) safety razors and all that gimmicky crap. It's all just a feeble excuse by marketing execs to charge you ridiculous amounts of money for something that works no better than the old "tried and true" single blade models that have been around forever.

If you think shaving your beard is tough you should try shaving your legs in the tiny shower. Let me tell you it is a real PITA. I use disposable razors and liquid soap. Not shaving is not an option.

Try J&J baby shampoo, just a little bit, and a double edged single blade razor. Hard to beat and a lot cheaper that Secret Shave. Did buy a 5x8 mirror with a hook, which I use inside the TT, hook on a cupboard door handle, as well as outside if the weather is nice. Shower is much too cramped.

I've gone electric rechargeable in the trailer. Can't stand the feel of left over shaving cream, or soap or guck on my face.

2X. While I'm a confirmed blade shaver at home and in campgrounds with bathrooms (Schick Hydro & Neutrogena shaving cream), while dry camping I use a Norelco triple head rechargeable. I did have a Norelco PQ 208 2 head rotary shaver that operated on 2 AA batteries - cheap at under $20.00, slower than the rechargeable, but handy for dry camping since there is no need to recharge; just change the batteries. I lost the shaving head & haven't been able to find another one while on the road.

While I use shaving soap and brush with my old trusty adjustable Gillette safety razor at home, for traveling I use a smaller Weishi safety razor, plus the Secret Shave oil mentioned by Norm. The Secret Shave oil is fairly cheap at WalMart and lasts a loooooog time, just a few drops per shave is all that's needed. I do have a Norelco rechargeable rotary as a backup though.

For years I've just used warm water and a Gilette Turbo Razor. I stopped using soap after reading Einstein only used water because it was a universal solvent.
