..............is Charles Watts?

Well, last evening we had the opportunity to spend some time with one of the nicest couples on this earth, Charles and Pam.

Charles asked me to pass along his ''hello'' to all of his many friends on this web site. (It will be another month before they're home and Charles is back chatting with us on-line.)

They're in the middle of their customary summer odyssey, which often includes Colorado, if not the Canadian maritimes. They described the remote, gorgeous campgrounds in the mountains and along the streams and lakes in Colorado where they have been relaxing. (Charles has gotten good use of those five jump-its that he carries, since they have been mostly dry camping.)

One local tip that Charles wanted to pass along: if you travel through Pagosa Springs, don't miss visiting the hot springs, which are right in town. Multiple pools with different temperatures + royal treatment.

If I live another hundred years, I'll never know as much about Colorado as Charles and Pam know. :)

Thanks so much for the update, George. I kind or miss Charles's camping stories, but he should be gathering a few more for us. I'm glad he got to visit with you. Maybe someday I'll have the opportunity.
