Some one made mention of calling there trailer by a name, we (the wife) calls ours the "Good egg", I how ever call it the "Cracked egg", not that its cracked .

Being a ex-custom painter i had visions of painting it like an egg with cracks in it like a hard boiled egg.

Let's hear your trailer names???????

Here's an ancient topic on the same subject (naming trailers). Back in 2003, we really got into sharing all the things people call their small, molded fiberglass travel trailers.

We just called it 'the egg.' But its official name is a Franglais pun.

'Un Oeuf,' French for 'an egg,' sounds very much like 'enough' in English.

My wife continues to call my Love Bug "the marshmallow" because according to her-"IT LOOKS LIKE A GIANT MARSHMALLOW." Some people have no respect.

Ours is named "Hot Damn!" because when we were buying it off of the previous owner, he kept telling us that everything "works like a hot damn!"

US: So how's the heater?
HIM: Oh, works like a hot damn! I remember when I'd taken it out to this rock concert and the weather dipped below 14 degrees and I had to turn it on and....

US: How about the stove?
HIM: Oh, it works like a hot damn! I remember when I took it to this little camp site in the woods and there was a fir ban and I had to cook the hotdogs....

US: Oh, and the bed pulls out to make it a king-size?
HIM: Yep, works like a hot damn! I remember when it got cold one night and the dogs wanted in and I put one on each side and.....

The name stuck!

My "Egg" is called "The Beach House". It's probably the only one I will ever be able to afford!

Our 13' Burro is called Little Jennie, since a female burro is known as a jennie.

My mother unknowingly furnished Dumplin's name. She was telling me one day how good the Marie Callendar Crock Pot Dinners are and told me that the chicken & dumplings variety was the best one. Hubby and I just happened to be in the incubation period for our egg (waiting for it to be built) and I was struggling with two names. Bevo (its a Texas thing) and Poot. I really liked them both but when my mom said what she did, I knew that was it.

Happy naming ya'll.

Mine is a play on the title of a book: The Agony and the Ecstacy

Since I tow with a Honda Odyssey, and the nick-name of molded fiberglass trailers is "egg", my complete rig is: The Odyssey and the "Eggstacy"

I'm building a 1953 Ford Panel to pull my trailer...it's a very long, very old story. At anyrate the panel is being painted yellow and will get custom license plates...YOLK. The trailer will get it's matching plate...Double Yolk (DBLYLK). Right now, it's just a hard boiled egg.

My Compact II trailer is named PuddleDuck. The pop-up roof is like an umbrella over my head.

Haven't gotten to naming our trailer yet. I guess our 5th wheel could be Quasimodo . . . It's the hump, you know. Quasi for short.

Though Lynne is advocating Igor (From Mel Brook's Young Frankenstien) or perhaps Eggor.

"LADY-BUG"
A few days after we got Lady-bug our 1980, 13 ft Boler we found a license plate holder with lady-bugs and flowers all around it.
Somthing gaudy you would see on a hippy's van from the 60's.
Anyway when we purchased in the fall of the year we pu the plate holder away.
You know it... in the spring of the next year we couildn't find it so all last summer, our first year as FG campers, people would wonder "why is he calling it Lady-bug".
After the camper was in hibernation for the winter, the wife found it and I should have put it on right then and there but NOOOOO.
We'll see if she still knows where it is next May.

Hi: Gerry your plate frame is in a safe place if you can't find it!!! When I took our spare tire cover to the Sign Writers Shop I wanted "Tows Light" on it in the style of Coors Light and he said "Why not "Tours Light"and that as they say is History...When most people look at it they ask"Why do you have Coors Light on your trailer"
