One person's garbage truck is another's elegantly functional design. To me, it's the inside which counts, and the inside of this rig looks nicely finished and very well fitted out - there might even be some ideas which we could use, although a second-floor sleeping loft might be a little extreme for a lightweight travel trailer!
While it does appear in the exterior photos to have no windows, the interior views clearly show windows on both sides and both ends. Perhaps this means that is has cover panels over the windows (like our front-window rock guards), which might be very functional.
Christy, can you provide a link to the source so we can check it out ourselves, outside of this forum?

Brian... unfortunatly no links.. i only got the pics as an email.. but found it quite interesting even if it was a garbage truck.... I think its quite a set up myself... so thought i would just share the pics with everyone.....
I am just wondering if it is not some kind of pop up. If you look at the inside pictures it look all most like the top section fits over the lower section. The outside photos are with the top down covering the windows . and the inside picture when it is raised uncovering the windows

I think Al is right - if you look on the inside shots you see the seam running along the perimeter of the truck/camper/popup walls. When it's popped down it covers the windows. Maybe this is a Hi-Lo on steroids?

I was wondering about that too, and I think it is. If you look at the height above the entrance door in the outside view, it appears to be about the space visible above the door in the interior photo, but not enough to accommodate the loft area which is above it.

I'd take it. Did you see the size of those DRAWERS?!!
Never worry about where to park. Just stop in the middle of the street.
Mind you I can foresee a problem crossing the border in 2007, especially from Ont to Michigan.

I wonder which municipality got their trash truck ripped off??
Hi everyone...........now I am not sure about this ,but it looks like the camper I saw on Discover Channel special about Rv Life Styles. IF it is the same one ......it is an old trash truck ..........and it was special built by the owner for his wife(,she is in a wheel chair because of a wreck I think ) but had always loved to camp because of all her special medical needs he designed and built this unit. They call it Draco( stands for something) anyway it will go anywhere and allows her to still do all the things she likes to do and have all her medical equipment with them. The show never said their names but did show them both and said it took him 4 years to design and build it.
Like a said not sure if that is the same one,but it does look like it.......if it is it does not have a pop up top but does have a elevator for her wheel chair and a dark room because she is a photographer ( I know bad spelling)
Draco is not a garbage truck conversion, it is an airport fire truck.
That show was on again recently. I love his description of "Woodpecker" syndrome. People come up to it and "Knock" on it's sides. They hear it all nite long in some places they park.
I'm having a hard time with these pictures. In the top 7 pictures you see a blue couch and the end of the container with a window above it. On the other end it appeares to be a bunk bed with a window above it. Now looking at the pictures below of the kitchen I can't figure out where in the first 7 pictures this would be?? Also the computer table with what appeares to be an air conditioner above it is where at in the above pictures ??? confuzzzed in Idaho.
