Sorry, I don't think there's a better or more attended forum than the one you're on. There is [b]Bolerama and Yahoo has a list serv for Scamps. Both are reasonably generic and, like MFOG, don't restrict their discussions to one brand.

You think it's bad where you are, when we were looking for our first 'glass trailer, there wasn't zilch in the southeast. Almost nobody down here owns these gems. By the way, we did find Egbert (Trillium 4500) in Cooperstown, N.Y. Our current egg (Trillium 5500) came from Northern Ontario.
You'll have a lot more luck if you include Canada in your searches. It's also not a bad idea to attend a rally or two if there's one local to you. There's no better source of available trailers than the current owner pool.

By the way, you mention Casita and Scamp. There are also Trilliums, Bolers, Burros, UHauls, Fiberstreams, PlayPacs, Escapes, Bigfoots, Compacts and lord knows how many others.
Don't give up. When one comes your way, you'll never be the same again.

No trailer for sale but you can make an offer on my house in Miami...

I found my Scamp on consignment at a dealer in Vermont.

Here's info from the Yahoo Scamper's Group on finding an Egg:

How To Find A Used Fiberglass Trailer

1. Look in the FILES section of this group
under Wanted and For Sale.

2. Check the FOR SALE areas of:

MFROG (http://www.fiberglassrv.com)
Casita Forum (http://www.casitaforum.com)
Casita Club (http://www.casitaclub.com)

Note: Some of the above links may refer to each other.

3. Look on EBay by the various names and misspellings
thereof (Scamp, scamper, skamp, skamper -- Skamper is
actually another manf's name), casita, uhaul, boler,
bigfoot, burro, etc.

4. Find the Classified website for your local newspapers,
paying close attention towards the end of the week as
sellers tend to advertise over weekends and the ads may
appear on website before getting into print.

Trailers that Jannkaay put together:

That one has been for sale on and off for at least 6 months. At that price, it is going to take someone who is either desperate or uneducated to purchase it...

I have been looking for something in the NE for about 2 years now. I still have a stickie...

Found one in Florida that sounds good and is within my budget, but it turns out I have to go on a business trip and won't be able to drive down for a couple weeks. Without a doubt it will be long gone by then.

I just got an email from a gentleman in Minnesota (he didn't say where) who has a 2004 16' Scamp (side dinette) that he bought new, with "all options" except awning..... he quoted me $10,500 and another $1000 to deliver it to me here in Alaska. Heck of a deal IMO.

As I am more inclined to either a 13' or maybe a teardrop (due to Jeep Wrangler as TV) I am not interested. Perhaps someone here is???

Anyway, his email is: rmhanson@arvig.net

His name is Raymond Hanson

Background: I have an "Egg Wanted" add on the Casita forum. He answered my add just this afternoon....

I travelled from WI to West Virginia to pick up my Love Bug (similar to Scamp.) Another member from this forum who lives in WV found one close to home. They exist, but you must pounce like a cat when you find what you want. Be careful about buying before you see it. Take along a check list. Have a friend go with you because we all get blind when we find something we think we want.

LOL...none in the northeast...except when I was looking in California. I've noticed they seem to come available in clumps. Not only do you need to know what to look for, its very helpful if you've seen some. Going to a meet would have been a great idea. I found one and didn't act because I really didn't know if it was a good deal or not. Now that I've seen a few, I realize it probably was a good deal. And I did find one near me (200 miles, more or less) on Craigslist. You also have to just decide how much you are willing to spend and how much work you are willing to do. I figured out how much I would spend and how much each mile cost me, cause all the good ones seemed so far away! There seems to be one out there for all of us that are looking, but it takes time. Good luck in your search!

Mark, We looked for about 4 months in New England and finally found our Lady-Bug, a 13 ft Boler on E-bay and it was only 100 miles away in Vermont from a fellow who buys and sells.
He had several tin models also but my wife and I knew we wanted all fiberglass and the price was right in where all the ones on Bolerama was selling for but as you say too far to travel.
Keep looking and maybe we will see you in Maine or New Hampshire someday.

I know there's one out there with your name on it! Check out this excellent topic written by Buck: The Official "Search Tips" Thread!, Posted by request

If you check out the trailer brand listing on the home page, you'll probably see names not mentioned often here in the forums. There's lots of fiberglass orphans out there, being informed gives you a leg up on the other folks trying to buy. Also check out the albums, that way you'll know what a particular brand looks like!

Maybe there's a link or two from the Helpful-Links that Pete missed?

Good luck!
