I live on the 49th. parallel but have to drive for two days and take a 100 mile ferry ride to get to the border. We don't do a lot of cross-border shopping out our way. I can get to France with a five-hour drive and a one-hour ferry ride a lot easier.
As for FG trailer making, maybe it's just a case of being good at something.

Hi All... In typical Canadian style we come up with ideas and talent but if you can't cross the "Bob-WARR you just aren't!!! Most but not all molds for trailers were exported to the US. from Canada. There they morphed into other brands and some are still successful to this day. We are trying to take back the trophy so to speak, one trailer at a time tho!!!
Fiberglass seems to come and go with the economy of scale. At the moment you can get some pretty good deals on the biggies as long as you have stock in the oil/gas Co's.

LoL you need to leave the gun & veggies at home :-; Some suggest that one of the nice things about our country is its open door policies which has resulted in our nation being very multi cultural. For example in BC 35% of the residents have a first language which is nether of our two official languages.

The question was "Why do Canadians seem to have more interest in FG trailers than Americans?"

The argument seems to be in how one quantifies "more".

And of course there is ALWAYS an argument.

Hmmmm...

I think I'm gettin' it now:

If by "Canadians have more interest in fiberglass trailers" you mean " more interest in talking about fiberglass trailers"....this is, indeed, a mystery.

But Canadians talk about all kinds of things that we below-the-liners don't.

I, for example, still don't know what the "Grey Cup" is.

And what's a "looney", anyway? The CBC (Radio Free Canada) is always talking about "the looney". `Canada only has one looney? We have LOTS of loonies- so many that we keep them in bins down here- and rarely talk about them at all. Unless we decide to let them come home for Thanksgiving. Which I remind you we have on the right day.

Francesca

You really shouldn't talk about Alf like that. It only encourages him.
Hey, maybe we could campaign to the Canadian mint to put his face on the Loonie.

I just assumed you were talking about us Canuckleheads, where the Loonie originated.
I just assumed on the Alf front, it seemed fitting.
Hi Alf.

Nu uh, 3 whole months. Of which there are usually only 2 nice days.

Though nice for many of us is if you don't have to bust the ice off the surface, in order to go swimming.

We have royalty, too- there's Lightning McQueen, Queen Latifah, Steve McQueen,The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, Prince Albert-in-a-Can, John "The Duke" Wayne...not to mention The King himself: Elvis!

O.K., so the last two are dead.

But still- at least we don't put pictures of our royalty on something and then pass it around while calling it a "looney"!

Steve McQueen will be thanking you for his Resurrection.

Our Royalty lived in Camelot or is that on a Camel Lot?
