I did get some photos I was happy with at Babcock State Park in WV, Ricketts Glen State Park in PA & Luray Caverns, VA:
That's eye candy! Nice colors.

Does YOU'RE Outback want to play in the snow, too? We're only in the 1" zone... so I might have to drive two hours north into the 6-10" zone.

Well it has started, the rain/sleet is now snow and the flakes are huge. You know you are in trouble when the Weather Channel's Jim Cantore- Storm Stories Jim- is broadcasting live for the Weather Channel from a location about 20 miles away from where you are!! They are warning about losing your power due to the trees still having a lot of foliage, so I'm warming the house up and cooking my dinner now. Gotta go, pot is boiling....

Here in Dayton we just had a winter mix blow through when I was working in the garden....the rain was very lumpy.

...sat outside with a lovely, hot fire in the firepit on a glorious, albeit coolish, fall afternoon. dennis raked 6 bags of leaves but there are still lots on the tree. and coming inside i cringe to hear the forecast of 20 cms tonight/tomorrow.
.....the summer was wayyy too short. fall has been terrific. but i am NOT ready for winter!!!

Yes it does. Coincidentally, I was up in your neck of the woods last year when they had the infamous Monday Night football game postponement due to snow; the one where the PA governor Rendell said we were becoming a "Nation of wusses". Got a chance to drive from DC through Arlington, to Dover DE in the snow.
The year before that we visited Philly and they had the highest snowfall ever recorded in the month of December.
After those two trips my relatives asked me to quit coming up there in December, so we're headed up there November this year. (Expect earlier snow now)
