My favorite camping and ATV riding area is about to be buried under at least 2 feet of snow this weekend. The first major storm of the year is about to hit the area.
I took some pics of my favorite place 2 days ago. The snow covered road is about 5 or 6 miles from where I park my Scamp. The sunny area with the fire pit is at the end of the snow covered road to no where and where I have spent the night with just my sleeping bag during the summer.
I'm going to miss my road to nowhere until at least next April or May.
I'm not complaining, where I live we get maybe an inch of snow 2 or 3 times a year.
Hang in there all you snow bound folks, spring will be here sooner than you think.
John

We're experiencing our first November snowfall in over 20 years, here in our part of the West coast of Scotland. The North has had snow for a few days now, but it has decided to pay us lowlanders a visit. I hope it's not going to be a repeat of last year's horrendous winter. I know that in the US and Canada you get much worse winters than we do, but our road and energy infrastructures are just not designed to cope with long spells of harsh weather. Much as the snow is nice to look at, I hope this is a short lived storm.

We came down from north of Green Bay to northeast Iowa Wednesday night. 20 MPH between Wausau and Steven's Point with my son driving. I was praying.

well, we've seen alot of the white stuff in the past week or so..then it rained..then it snowed...then it rained..then it snowed...and now, right now, as the crowds are lining up along main street for the best parade in atlantic canada, moncton's evening santa claus parade, it is indeed snowing again....
ahhh.....mid february and our journey south cannot come soon enough! however, it does look very pretty out.
