Happy Solstice to all, Marje and I are having a wonderful evening and wanted to share. Marje surprised me with a roast duck with a blueberry sauce for supper. I just finished a great sauna and now I am replenishing the fluids with some libations later. We always celebrate the solstice and feel we stay a little more in tune with the natural world. Somehow the Ancients were right, don't sweat the little things just be glad the sun begins its journey back North. To all, have a great holiday what ever you celebrate.

Welcome back to the sun! I agree with Donna, my favorite day of the year, I celebrate the waking of the sun and the coming of the light!

Hope you all had a cool Yule! On winter solstice we always have a Yule Log. Not the cake, tho they are yummy
A real Yule Log is a piece of wood left from last year's yule fire. I store it in a box (after it's cooled) & use it to start this year's fire. Then save a piece from this year's fire and repeat next year. It represents the connection from year to year - past, present & future kind of thing.

Happy Holidays! Looking forward to Spring Nog!
