I have seen similar ones used by the phone and cable companies. Could certainly be made into a camper, if not already.

Might be from Europe. Is the door in the back or on the drivers side. If on the drivers side I would guess from some country that drives on the left.

Looks like molded fiberglass panels. Perhaps you should knock on the door and ask. I'm sure they're used to it.

I'm surprised KarenC hasn't jumped in yet...she seems to know all these things.

The fact that it has two handles on the door, one on top and one at the bottom, doesn't make sense for a camper. Not sure what the purpose is...but seems wrong for a camper. The cable-splicing/cutting energy company utility trailers are usually more stout, with dual axles.

Really not sure what this one would have originally been for, but I'd be surprised if it was intended for camping when it was built.

Interesting that either it's painted to match the van, or the van is painted to match it, or they were both painted together. Almost definitely for a business of some kind.

The way it's fitted together, really bulky connections...almost makes me think it has walls or a roof that completely open for some purpose...

Send a message via Yahoo to Darwin Maring
The paint matches the van.

I was just going to post something I saw today, similar. It had a Web site in the sode. Pelsue.com.

Used for fiber optics work. Yours might be similar, not sure

Dan

Edit: previously the pelsue trailer was discussed here: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ler-33902.html

Bruce, do like Raz suggested and knock on the door and get the skinny on it. Were all used to being ask about our eggs, goes with owning one .

sorry ZachO, I have not seen this particular unit before. But my guess would be that it was (re)designed to be used as a concession trailer. With the popularity of food truck vending there are a lot of companies around that are offering custom, modified for the purpose, trailers.

I'm inclined to think it is a commercial utility trailer of some kind, but one used to work in, not just store stuff- hence the windows & vent. Looks a bit rough to be a concession trailer, and I would expect some graphics advertising what they're selling.

It is connected to a matching work van. If it were a camper I would expect it to be connected to the perfectly capable Ranger- clearly a personal vehicle- parked next to it. Also, if it were originally built and sold as a camper, I find it hard to believe no one here has ever seen or heard of it before.

That's my guess and I'm sticking to it! I'll look forward to the real answer when Bruce is able to follow up with the owner.
