You meet the nicest people...

Mary (wife) and I were driving around a local lake, as we often do for enjoyment. We came up to a campground I spied a Scamp through the trees. We pulled and and struck up a conversation with the fellow. He had just completed a 1500 mile trek on the Alcan, just he and the Scamp. What fun! I can't wait for retirement...too bad it's 35 years away. Anyway, I guess we can settle for family camping with the kids for now. The point of this post? It's so much fun to strike up conversations with other owners and talk trailers. He gave us a tour :E :E , showed us his mods, shook our hands, and gave us a smile. :) What a great community of folks!

Yep, yep, yep! It's a culture that bypasses ethnic, economic, political and religous boundaries. For all our personal differences, we're really all the same.....a love for fiberglass.:inbox

You meet the nicest....

:wave
Last monday, the Civic Day holiday, I saw a couple pulling a 14' Surf-side with a white Ford Ranger pikup. I met them while they were fueling at a service center west of Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway. They were heading for Kelowna to attend a wedding. After a short chat we found common acquaintances and found we had lived in the same area a few years ago. I told them about this website, and gave them the URL and invited them to check us out when they got home. It was a most enjoyable encounter.:drums

I think the fiberglass resin enters your bloodstream or something ...

I know this, I'm addicted to the stuff ... as well as being addicted to meeting any other owners of tiny molded fiberglass rigs!
