We will be saying goodbye to our Uhaul
VT, Howie, in a few weeks. That camper has taken us almost coast to coast, to places we would never have been to had we not had it. We will miss it but maybe not so much. When we picked up our Silver Cloud
and spent 3 days snowbound, we both looked at each other and said we would not be camping in Howie again. We both loved the new Silver Cloud
, and it was a great deal. We were also fortunate to get a great deal on a recent Expedition with low miles and the best tow package available last fall
when we decided to sell the Eurovan, so we could pull the Silver Cloud
. When I saw people talking about a Silver Cloud in OR here, I kept watching it and talking to the hubby about logistics (He would say "nagged."
). Happily, we were able to purchase it. It was one case where "You snooze, you loose," did not hold up.
However, when hubby got our Uhaul
ready to sell this weekend, I posted it to the Uhaul
Facebook page. It sold in 10 minutes, 20, if you include the time we spent discussing it. It goes to a good home, people who appreciate Uhauls.
The VT, Howie, was purchased in 10 minutes too, from an eBay ad with a "Buy It Now." We had income tax refund in hand, and when I saw someone asking a lot of questions here about the VT, I followed the link to eBay. With hubby approval, it was purchased 10 minutes later.
Two out of 3 times: "You snooze, you loose."
PS: Already had a person offer to buy the Bigfoot
