SOLD 1978-79 Trillium 4500 for sale. Chicago Suburbs. $5,500

**Per another site member the trailer appears to be a 1977 Deluxe.** Bought from my neighbor after her husband passed away 3 years ago. She wasn't sure of the year, but based on the vin and this post http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f51/serial-numbers-on-a-trillium-5612... it appears to be either a 78 or 79. It is however titled in Illinois as a 1980. I have clean title in hand. Neighbor states they were the second owners and used it all the time when their kids were little. It sat in their driveway for many years before I bought it. I cleaned it up, put on new tires and re-packed the bearings, also had new curtains made. My daughter and I have been using it a few times a year since then and it works great. I'm reluctantly listing it for sale (against her wishes) in the hopes of buying a larger camper that I can put on a permanent site and hopefully use more often with more family.
Everything except the furnace works. My neighbor said before he passed that the furnace just needs 1 new part, which he had, but his wife can't find. I have never needed it though so never looked further. The fridge works on electric and on gas, never tried 12v. The stove also works perfect. The water system works as well with the hand pump. There was a crack in the drain pipe that I repaired last year and seemed to fix the problem. The carpet could stand to be replaced, but it's never bothered us so I haven't done that yet. The cushions are in great shape except the zipper is broke on one, but we just put it towards the wall and it looks fine. It appears to be the original material. It's missing a few of the light covers but those are available online and not very expensive. The belly band was coming off and there was some leaking so I used some 2 part epoxy putty to re-attach the band and then sealed it with caulk which fixed the problem. I noticed there is another spot that is loose and could use it but haven't seen any leaking. I'll be working on that as soon as I have some time. I store the camper in my heated warehouse in the winters. The ceiling fan works. The vent cover has hairline cracks in it that I sealed up with caulk and it has never leaked. There is an awning that comes with it as well that slides into the track along the top of the camper, then has poles to hold up the other end. I've tried to list anything I can think of that's wrong with the camper and will add anything as I think of it. Selling as-is so it's up to buyer to inspect before buying. But at the end of the day this camper is being used and camped in as is so nothing needs to be done to use it, just want to be honost in that it's not mint condition or anything, but it's a fantastic little camper. It pulls down the road like a dream, and I wouldn't be afraid to pull it anywhere. Oh I also have a trillium spare tire cover if you aren't a packer fan. I also have the extra table leaf to make it the full table. I didn't have that installed when I took the pics.
I'm willing to help with delivery just about anywhere if my schedule allows, however I don't have a passport so can't deliver into Canada. If you are interested in delivery just email me and I will take a look at the miles and travel time and shoot you a price to cover my gas, time, and lodging if necessary. Travel costs and a non-refundable deposit would be required in advance of me leaving.
I have attached several pictures. If you want pics of anything else just let me know. I can also do a video if you plan to buy it without viewing it in person. Also feel free to ask any questions at all I'm happy to answer what I can.

Actually, based on the kitchen, and the cushions, it is a 1977 Deluxe.

based on the last picture on picasa, the serial # is 45-1100306
which matches a 1977 as well.

Dave, have you been matching the issue #'s with vins on the spec sheets? That might provide you with a secondary verification source for date of manufacture.

No, I have virtually ignored the issue number. One day, when I make a spread sheet of the serial numbers, I will include the issue number.

Looking good

Someone will be happy with that! Looks all there and tidy.
Don't mean to hijack your thread but could someone please tell me where you can buy that special tarp / awning that slides into the rail like you have shown?
Thanks and Good luck with sale.

The awning looks like an original rope and pole type. Many here have used these 2 people to make the retro awnings for them.

Vintage Trailer Awning

Old style can frequently be found online on kijiji or craigslist or even ebay.

Many use bag awnings. Randy Bishop gives a good review on various awnings in this thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ium-48070.html If you hunt long enough you can find a 9' Carefree bag awning that will fit your 4500. Carefree went metric sizing a while back so you will be looking for old stock or used. (hint Fleetwood used Carefree bag awnings on their tent trailers)

An RV supply store or a metal supply dealer. It's called a "C" track or channel.

Hi Nate,

We ended up selling our Surveyor back in June and getting Trillium 4500 #321 locally in July. I see yours is very close in number at #306. Good luck with your sale.

Phil
