AL | SOLD 1980 Scamp 13'

After 6 years, we have outgrown our 13' Scamp and have traded up to a 16' Scamp. We takes several trips each year with our dog and 2 grandchildren.

It has been garage kept for the last 6 years and fiberglass is in good condition with some scratches, but no major damage. Interior is mostly in original condition, but could use some updating.

Axle has been replaced with new torsion axle with grease fittings. Tires were replaced last year and new LED tail lights installed. Air conditioner is in working condition, but could use replacement. Door has a new latch and hinges, but does sag a little. Awning was damaged in a storm and poles will need replacement.

Has original stove, sink, and propane furnace. Refrigerator operates on 115 volt only. Bunk beds allow sleeping for 2 adults and 2 children. No bathroom.

Located near Dadeville Alabama in central Alabama about 80 miles south of Birmingham.

Asking $3200.

How did you manage 6 years of traveling/camping without the title? How did you get yearly tabs? Interested.

He is able not to have a title because they don’t give them out when they are that old.I’m out of buying because PA requires a title. I would have to go to court to get a court order to get a title here.
Besides, Glenn doesn’t answer emails or follow up on our posting here. Why not? Is common curtesy lost now days?

When you see an item for sale here, from someone with a total of four postings ever on this forum, and all four are on this single for sale listing, it shows they are clearly not active here. Some people post stuff for sale on multiple sites, Craigslist, local classified, offer up, let go, this forum, and more. When this is done, its hard to keep up with messages, and if the item sells fast, you may never hear from them again.

Many states do not have titles for trailers, South Carolina where I used to live didn't. In fact, trailers didn't have license plates either. It was always interesting crossing the border with a trailer with no tag.

At $3,200 this trailer should sell fast.

we have had many more inquiries than ever expected to see our Scamp. I am currently going down the list of inquiries and contacting everyone. I am showing beginning tomorrow and continue to show as long as it is available.

1980 Scamp was purchased in Georgia 6 years ago. I was told that Georgia didn't issue titles on trailers until beginning in 1986. I just needed a bill of sail to register the camper in Alabama.
